MANAGER OF INFORMATION & BUSINESS SYSTEMS
A Houston based engineering, fabrication and distribution company is seeking to enhance its operational and business information systems technology to increase operating efficiency, implement our long term technology strategy and analyze business and operational performance using new business system platforms and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
· BS or higher degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or closely related field of study with preferred MIS focus.
· 3+ years experience in network and database administration, business accounting and operations analysis, project management and document control technologies as well as a strong technical understanding of data warehouses, internet, web, email, reporting tools and front and back office related applications.
· Experience or demonstrated ability to manage technical support staff.
· Strong presentation and writing skills, highly productive and insanely organized.
· Demonstrated leadership experience in identifying and implementing appropriate technology solutions, in solving business problems and supporting company strategies.
· Proficiency in business related information technology and full-system life cycle development process.
· Able to operate both independently and as a team to support executive global visions.
· Experienced with project management tools and document control implementation.
· MS Windows/MS Office/Windows Server mastery is essential.
· MS Access/Project/AutoCAD implementation experience highly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Network and infrastructure architect and database administration.
· Manage and develop business information systems and business analysis tools.
· Integrate technology tools from operations into information systems for enhanced operational efficiency.
· Implement daily reporting of filtered and compressed critical metrics for executive and operations analysis.
· Supervise critical communication platforms and protocols for business operations.
· Proactively address problems with business management and technology tools.
· Enable internal analysis of efficiencies and measure technology impact.
· Manage all network hardware and software assets through supervision of technical support staff with direct backup to this role when required.
· Develop custom tools, reports and applications using SQL, Java, C++, Visual Basic and the like.
The position detailed in this posting is a staff level, salaried exempt position with a privately held company located in the Houston Greenspoint Business District, near Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport.
