International Technidyne Corporation, located in Edison, NJ, is a world leader in the development and manufacturing of Point-of Care blood coagulation diagnostic systems. We are committed to developing, manufacturing & marketing safe, easy to use, & reliable products that are used by doctors, nurses & medical practitioners where care is provided to patients. We currently have an opportunity for a Temporary Maintenance Person I.
SUMMARY: This is a “hands-on” facility maintenance position that ensures standards of building operations and cleanliness are maintained and/or improved. Responsible for supporting multiple departments in multiple facilities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to be flexible as tasks and priorities change
· Maintains a safe, secure, clean, controlled and efficient plant operating environment
· Respond, identify and correct facility related problems and equipment deficiencies in an organized and timely manner
· Complete formal work order requests as directed by supervisor
· Routinely supplement contracted external services including janitorial, landscaping and snow removal
· Perform scheduled building and equipment preventative maintenance including documentation using approved SOPs
· Aid in the modification and construction of internal department areas
· Support the facility maintenance manager, manufacturing operations personnel and other company functions as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High School degree required. Additional Technical/Vocational skill schooling desirable.
· Minimum of 1 – 2 years of facility maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing regulated environment
· Should have a general mechanical aptitude and be able to work on overall facility systems including light construction, compressed air, cooling water, electrical/lighting and refrigeration
· Able to safely utilize standard hand tools, janitorial equipment and facility maintenance related equipment
· Should have some basic electric and carpentry including painting skills
· Must be able to take direction but also work independently to identify problems and complete assignments
· Must speak English and be able to effectively communicate with operational personnel
· Must have a valid drivers license in good standing and able to operate a vehicle between our facilities
