Logistics Manager

Bel-Ray Company, Inc., a multi-national manufacturer of high performance lubricants headquartered in Central, New Jersey is seeking a Logistics Manager This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager distribution professional.

The ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment with a proven track record for success. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Establishing overall logistical goals, objectives and work plans annually.
Evaluating the overall global distribution network between Bel-Ray, its suppliers and its customers, identifying efficiencies and implementing change to minimize the companies over all freight expense.
Evaluating the overall Shipping and Receiving operations identifying where efficiencies can be gained and implementing agreed actions to create synergies, gain efficiencies and minimize operating expenses.
Negotiating freight rates with freight carriers to maximize efficiencies and minimize costs.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in shipping distribution, preferably in a chemical warehouse environment. Must have a complete and thorough knowledge of all domestic and international shipping regulations for air, ground, and sea, including but not limited to proper packaging, packing, labeling, and documentation. Must have knowledge of HM-181, HM-215A, HM-126F, 40 CFR, IATA and IMDG. Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, team building and computer skills. ISO background preferred with the ability to write and implement procedures.
