Logistics Engineer
Job Description:
Train with Toyota Logistics advisor in Toyota Logistics Systems concepts: IEK/ADR, SPS/Kitting, Direct Delivery, Cross Docking, etc.
Provide overall Logistics Engineering project support to conveyance team.
Generate proposals for kaizen projects and manage them for improvement of internal logistics devices and tools.
Manage all Engineering Logistics projects for model change efforts.
Evaluate all proposals for conveyance changes to support kaizen efforts of Trim Shop.
Support Manufacturing Engineering Logistics Manager in maintaining and tracking capital investment expenditures.
Support layout changes to warehouse and logistics areas.
Function as a point of contact with TEMA for external logistics kaizen.
Work on other projects as assigned by the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering Logistics.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Technology.
Five years of Engineering work experience.
Autocad LT proficiency required. Solidworks proficiency is a plus.
General knowledge of Logistics processes: warehouse management, packaging, transportation, and conveyance is required. Knowledge of TPS and Toyota Logistics is desired.
Positive attitude.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently.
Tenacious and persistent attitude toward carrying out tasks and continuously improving processes.
Ability to accommodate long business trips (2Â wks) about twice per year and one short trip (2-3 days) per month.
