We've been in business for over 45 years and now have a presence in most major metropolitan areas throughout the country.This is an exciting time for Empire Today, and we need dedicated, enthusiastic people to help us grow!  If you are someone who thrives on challenge and believes that you can positively impact our business while making change happen, then we invite you to apply to be a part of the Empire team!  JOB TITLE: Logistics Analyst DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTS TO: Accounts Receivable Manager POSITION SCOPE The Logistics Analyst performs the logistical coordination function for the movement of inventory.  The position is responsible for executing procedures related to truck / transportation utilization, optimization, coordination, load balancing and allocation/transfer of materials.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Execute all procedures for logistics and inventory movement· Work with transportation vendors to coordinate and optimize deliveries · Work toward least-cost routing while maintaining inventory service levels with branches· Execute logistics function for international inbound freight/containers· Maximize Supply Chain (inbound and outbound) modeling including route design and truck capacity · Assist with logistical controls· Assist with development of “best practicesâ€� in the logistics area· Assist with freight bill research and validation· Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES· Minimum of 2 years of logistics, supply chain, and inventory management experience preferred.· Experience with multiple location & multiple product businesses is a plus.· Experience with international supply chain and procurement a plus.· Able to be flexible in a rapidly changing work environment· Excellent time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills· Detail oriented with strong planning, organization and project management skills· Makes quick, intelligent fact-based decisions · Performs complex and highly detailed work with accuracy and precision Education:  Bachelor’s degrees in Operations, Transportation, or a related field a plus.Computer Knowledge Requirements: MS Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookOur employees enjoy a casual, yet results-oriented environment where we value creativity, teamwork and innovation.
