Log Home Sales Consultant - Baton Rouge, LA

Southland Log Homes, the nation’s largest log home producer and industry leader, is currently seeking a Sales Consultant for our Gonzales, LA sales model.



Great opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, results oriented salesperson.  Realistic $70,000 - $80,000 earning potential.



Sales Consultants are primarily responsible for promoting and cultivating the sale of log home packages to our customer market.  Consultants work with clients, processing sale agreements and closing log home sales with the final goal of creating a satisfied customer.



The successful candidate must have a proven track record of relationship selling and a complete understanding of sales methods and processes.They must be coachable, team players, and problem solvers. 



Responsibilities include:



v  Attending our in house training program to fully prepare for a sales position with Southland Log Homes

v  Aggressively following up on leads generated by walk in traffic, information request cards, web traffic and call-ins

v  Capturing the customer vision by relationship selling

v  Converting the customer vision into a preliminary design

v  Participating with other departments to create and maintain client relationships

v  Presenting options and resolutions in an organized and concise manner

v  Closing the log home sale

Southland provides complete training over a two-month time frame, with formal and informal training segments. Each new consultant is provided a network of corporate support and mentoring during this time.



We provide an exceptional compensation plan that is designed to reward excellence and promote success, strong commissions structure and the ability to get bonus commission in any quarter.



Qualifications/Experience Requirements:

v  2 years+ of large ticket sales experience (on-site home sales, auto, RV, boat, motorcycle, timeshare sales)

v  Be a competitive self-starter, with a hunter-type mentality

v  Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

v  Utilize strong memorization skills and techniques

v  An assertive approach with a strong persuasive etiquette

v  Desire to be a winner, a #1 producer with a consistent positive attitude

v  Always take personal responsibility for all your actions

v  Detail oriented, with intermediate to expert computer skills/knowledge

Southland sales models and offices are a wonderful work environment. Model hours are Monday through Friday 9am-6pm. Sat hours are 9am-4pm. Sunday 1pm-5pm (Saturday/Sunday duty rotates among all staff)
