Lean Manufacturing Manager

Summary:

Overall responsibility for organization, planning, implementation and follow-through of continuous improvement initiatives established within the company's operating model, at an aluminum extrusion plant of 200 employees in Spanish Fork, UT.  Drives and leads a wide range of activities that are designed to improve on-time delivery, productivity, quality, cost, and safety performance.





Required Skills and Experience: BS degree in Engineering, Business or related field.  Highly structured and formal education and training in lean manufacturing perferred.  Masters degree in related field is an advantage. Minimum 7 years experience in manufacturing work environment, which has provided a thorough knowlefdge of lean manufacturing and rapid improvement techniques. Solid leadership, planning and organizing, and implementation skills. Strong facilitation and training skills to deliver improvement concepts, principles and practices to groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds and educational levels. Ability to facilitate team-based intitiatives and to interact effectivley with, and to gain cooperation from, individuals at all leves of the organization.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thorough business process improvement, time-based management, quality and lean manufacturing knowledge.  Ability to work independently, prioritizing and completing multiple work assignments in diverse firles with minimal direction.  Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other business related software.
