Manufacturing/Production/Operations Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Contact Information Reference Code: 2169 Job Description Lean Facilitator SUMMARY The Lean Facilitator supports continuous improvement activities for the Sanford facility through various methods including participation on Kaizen teams. This position will develop Lean manufacturing skill sets while gaining a better understanding for different aspects of the business.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   · Lead Kaizen teams · Act as a support system for Kaizen and continuous improvement activities through the participation on Kaizen teams. · Know Standard Work, Single piece flow and 5-S · Know Kanban systems and the documented Pentair Pool Products Kanban procedure. · Assure product is built to specification. · Know and understand the seven wastes and are able to easily identify waste in practice.  · Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of operations.     · Plan and execute duties for the post Kaizen operations. · Follow up on Kaizen newspapers and help process owners achieve their desired results from the Kaizen activities. · Track and report on activities related to continuous improvement including post Kaizen adherence to new procedures. · Run and understand the BOM for a variety of products.   · Ensure that Kaizen affected employees are trained on all tasks in a safe and productive manner. · Understand the Standard Operating Procedures and how to train, and then verify employee skills.  · Coordinate and ensure that ergonomic requirements are met for employee safety and skills verification. · Provide leadership direction for the operating work force. · Verify line balance for all jobs on a production line and the relationship to maintain the TAKT rate. · Train and support standard work and 5-S on a production line.   · Verify the accuracy of the daily schedule and productivity reporting system. · Know how to develop the KPI flip charts for a cell · Know how to report the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory in the Lean Scoreboard system.   · Lead regular team continuous improvement meetings. · Know all applicable Quality Management System procedures. · Know the Problem Solving Process. · Practice good verbal and written communication skills. · Inform Line Leaders and Production Manager of identified problems that require the attention / support of the broader Product Teams group to help solve. · Regularly conduct training sessions in utilization of Lean Tools     Education Required: B.S. Engineering Degree I.E./ M.E.
