Lean Coordinator
An opportunity is available for a Lean Coordinator in an extremely profitable and stable manufacturing facility located in lovely central Mississippi. The company has a long history of unwavering commitment to their employees and maintaining close relationships with their customers. They have a strong reputation for internal employee advancement and being a flagship for cultural transformation in Lean Manufacturing methodologies which have resulted in phenomenal business prosperity.
Responsibilities include leading continuous improvement efforts, supervising production employees, leading lean manufacturing and kaizen project teams and events, overseeing departmental operations, ensuring safety (OSHA) requirements are being met, ensuring departmental goals are being met, overseeing production scheduling, ensuring required supplies and raw materials are ordered on time (JIT), training others on the importance and techniques of lean manufacturing, being instrumental in developing departmental goals for reducing downtime and scrap and increasing through-put and cost savings, supporting all production in the department in accordance with Lean Manufacturing standards, and maintaining and building a positive, employee-engaged, work environment.
Requirements include someone with extensive lean manufacturing / continuous improvement experience, strong leadership skills and experience, verbal and written communication skills, and someone with experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably metal working. At least an Associate Degree is highly preferred. Local candidates will be considered first.
