M/F/D/V. POSITION SUMMARYThe Leader of Americas Data Center leads the development of strategic plans, and directs information systems and technology deployment on a global basis. Responsible for the day-to-day communication and support between the user community and the technical and operational components of the data center and e-business hosting. Works with Management Company senior management to establish strategy that has a direct impact on process and competitive capabilities. Responsibilities include tracking the activities of the customer support process and insuring the availability, responsiveness, and effective utilization of the enterprise DataCenter and e-Business services. Responsible as a senior Information Technology Team Member to develop and implement systems strategies and technology for the Enterprise Infrastructure. Works in a collaborative fashion to standardize the process, tools and deliverables across all ITT Industries regional data centers. Directs site audits, management team systems steering and is accountable to assure that systems standards established and agreed to by the ITT are adhered to and maintained. JOB DUTIES:- Insures that the availability and responsiveness of the Enterprise Data Center and e-Business meets the goals and requirements of the organization.- Insures that Data Center batch production scheduling and report distribution are accurate and timely.- Provides the technical and operational support necessary for effective remote systems administration.- Develops, in conjunction with the user community, service level objectives that are realistic and meet the enterprise business requirements.- Supports, as required, capacity planning to insure sufficient resources to meet business requirements.- Develops and presents project and technology proposals, and provides status and progress reporting to the management team. - Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.- Drives common standards, process, tools and deliverables across all DataCenter operations coordinating with the other regional DataCenter leaders. - Manages and executes DataCenter consolidation activities with global customer into the facility. - Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation or education.Implements and operates on a daily basis using VBSS and continuous process improvement as a way of life. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred.- Minimum 10 years experience in leadership of large-scale systems planning, analysis, design, and development projects.- Experience with advanced management techniques and practices including career management, budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting. - Well-developed and regularly demonstrated managerial competencies including; leadership, teambuilding, self-confidence, results orientation, interpersonal astuteness, visioning, strategic planning, and communications.
