Lead Websphere Administrator

The Lead Websphere Administrator will facilitate the use of best practices, provide infrastructure support, and help to mentor other areas of the IT organization on the use of Websphere Application Server and Websphere Portal server and other J2EE application server/portal server technologies. Provides leadership within the department which may include directoring, mentoring, training, and guiding less experienced members of the department. Bachelors Degree in IT or Computer Science or at least 8 years of IT experience  At least 6 years of IT experience Travel up to 25% Desired Skills: Positive Attitude, Ethics and International Values which support our company's values, and a healthy, high performance culture. Working experience supporting and managing a Websphere Application Server v6.1 environment. Working experience supporting and managing a Websphere Portal Server v6.0 environment. Working Experience supporting an Oracle Application Server environment is a plus. Working Experience supporting a BEA Weblogic environment is a plus. Working experience supporting PeopleSoft Enterprise running in a Websphere Application Server environment a plus.  Working experience supporting and managing applications and infrastructure in a Windows 2003 Operating System environment. Working experience supporting and managing applications and infrastructure in AIX and HP-UX Operating System environments. Experience assisting developers as well as operations staff to utilize J2EE best practices. Demonstrates ability to facilitate diverse groups working to resolve an issue and/or problem.  Ability to solve complex technical problems that may involve multiple technology layers including operating system, networking, database, middleware, etc. Ability to make effective decisions in support of enterprise infrastructure to minimize risk to International employee's, partners, dealers, customers, and suppliers that use applications that rely on that infrastructure. Ability to develop project plans, statements of work, and schedules for specific projects. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
