Lead Software Test Engineer

Description:Eaton Corporation located in Eden Prairie, MN has an opening for a Lead Software Test Engineer. We are expanding our team to support the addition of electronic controls to our line of hydraulic pumps, valves and motors. Our products are extensively used in construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment. The capability of these applications is enhanced dramatically with the addition of electronics to the hydraulic systems. As a result of this technology advancement, we are searching for someone who can help lead our team. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Software Test Engineer include guiding our overall approach to the validation and verification of our electro-hydraulic software and systems.The essential job functions include:-Coordinating with marketing, the customer, and systems engineers to develop software and system test specifications and requirements.-Developing automated, regression test software using structured or Object-Oriented analysis/design strategies, where appropriate.-Designing and developing software utilities including user interfaces and test programs. -Performing tests on software, hardware, and systems. Interfacing with hardware and system engineers to verify proper system operation.-Generating all the applicable software documentation; participating in design reviews associated with each product development phase including system level reviews and FMEAs.-Developing, deploying, and continually improving software processes, based on applicable standards and methodologies (Capability Maturity Model, ISO 9001).-Maintaining software skills and knowledge through participation in training, conferences, and reading trade magazines.If interested, please apply online at www.eatonjobs.com indicating salary requirements/history.
