Laboratory Technician/Chemist
Laboratory Technician/Chemist:
Provides technical laboratory support for the R&D group to develop silver ink systems, products and processes to meet the needs of customers.
Responsibilities: Routine sample generation using screen printer and convection ovens under various conditions. Perform testing and analysis of the electrical properties of various samples; document and summarize the results. Blend and mill various ink systems using commercial and non-commercial components. Perform testing and analysis on milled ink; document and summarize the results. Run various routine experimental laboratory procedures then document and summarize results. Keep clear, accurate records of all laboratory operations. Assists in production as necessary to meet customer demand Work safely.
Requirements: A technical Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with 3-5 years of relevant experience is required or extensive relevant experience will also be considered. Ability to work in team environment: coordinate efforts and equipment with other technicians in labs. Experience with screen printing, thermal curing of inks, viscosity, FOG, profilometer and 3-roll milling a plus. Computer/ Microsoft application skills. Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize workspace and multi-task. Local candidates only in the central NJ area.
