Laboratory Technician
Summary: Performs Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions to include inspections, calibrations and monitoring of processes through chemical and physical analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following: (other duties may also be assigned as required to meet various area requirements)
· Maintain chemical and physical analysis logs.
· Perform final product analysis for packaged products.
· Perform all HPLC/SEC analysis.
· Assist in performing analysis on in-process products.
· Assure all specifications are achieved in both in-process and packaged products.
· Report all nonconformities to laboratory management.
· Inspect all raw incoming material (preservatives, herbals, acidifiers, etc.).
· Approval and rejection of all raw incoming materials based on established specifications.
· Maintain log of approved incoming material.
· Perform calibrations and maintain log of calibrated equipment.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum of 3 years in related laboratory science and or training.
