Job Summary Responsible for the planning, implementation and direction of sales strategies for company products and services in all phases of business development actions with Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AE&C) firms including opportunity creation, identification, lead qualification, pursuit, and capture of new business to maximize sales and profitability. Responsibilities Compiles lists of prospective AE&C customers for use as sales leads based on market and industry information. Keep abreast of major upcoming projects that require company products and initiate communication to ensure a request for quote is forthcoming.Travels throughout assigned territory to develop new customer relationships as well as maintain current customers to solicit orders. Develops and maintains relationships with all applicable AE&C firms and any other possible customers of company products and services.Prepares and presents sales presentations to customers management on what company products meet project specifications and the advantages of our products vs. the competition. Coordinates with Applications Engineering or Engineering group to attend customer product presentations when higher-level product information is required for initial presentation and/or to solidify order.Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. Collaborate and aid collections group on delinquent accounts in territory.Works with internal sales department to obtain information on availability and delivery dates. Keeps abreast of in house orders to ensure specifications and delivery dates are adhered to.Works with engineering department to prepare special modifications to current product based on customer requests.Participate in Trade Shows, Company led conferences and/or meetings that are attended by major AE&C firms to communicate company products and potential to meet project specifications and deadlines.Submits trip reports and weekly reports of all information gathered through trips within their assigned territory as well as information relative to possible new business opportunities, in a timely manner. Prepares reports for all business transactions and submits expense reports for all travel expenses accounts.Provides information on new customers and other sales data for current customers to appropriate group for input into customer database.Investigates and resolves customer problems with product, delivery and service and collaborates with Field Service when appropriate.Attends trade shows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience in selling to major accounts and Engineering firms.
