The Engineered Packaging Division of UFP provides its customers with an array of material choices, long and short-run capabilities and affordable alternatives that utilize years of engineering and design experience.
We are looking for an energetic, career oriented professional to fill an exciting opportunity as Junior Buyer, in our Kissimmee, Florida location.
Summary:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Junior Buyer will join our “fast paced” procurement department. We are looking for a career minded professional with a desire to learn from a management team with extensive experience in foam product design and fabrication. This is a terrific opportunity for a professional who is looking for a successful organization to support their career growth.
Primary Functions / Responsibilities:
· Procuring materials and supplies in support of manufacturing operations, expediting materials as required.
· Reporting on key material delivery status in daily production meetings.
· Developing, submitting, and reviewing bid proposals and contracts.
· Running MRP to generate purchase requirements.
· Managing supplier base to address any supplier corrective action requirements.
· Support team activities to achieve strategic objectives.
Education / Experience / Qualifications:
· One to three years experience in purchasing.
· Must have experience in manufacturing environments using MRP to drive procurement practices.
· Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
· Must be a highly motivated professional with strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Sense of urgency and desire to exceed performance objectives.
· APICS certifications a plus.
