Java, Sr Developer-eCommerce

The Wasserstrom Company is one of the top Food Service Distributors in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.  Our eCommerce Department has an opportunity available for a Senior Java Developer in Columbus, Ohio. 

 

This position is responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of programming applications to satisfy business requirements associated with the eCommerce Websphere projects.  The Java Developer typically provides comprehensive technical consultation to business unit and IT management and staffs.  This position works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes to develop or modify existing systems to support the business. 

 

Specific duties will include, but not be limited to:

· Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical requirements for development. 

· Ensures that the project methodology process is used throughout the project lifecycle.

· Coordinate and/or assist in the coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of the solution.

· Collaborates with other technical areas to integrate the solution

 

Technical skills should include:

· 2-4 years of experience using JAVA/J2EE Technologies such as:Websphere Application ServerJSP or Java Server PagesJSF or Java Server FacesEnterprise Java BeansStruts FrameworkHibernateNetbeansJUNITWebLogic

A strong background with SEO, SCM, DB2 tables is preferred and-3 Years WebSphere eCommerce development and administration desired, preferably with WebSphere Commerce v 6.0.

 

Additionally, the successful candidate will have proven, strong written and verbal communication skills, advanced problem-solving skills, ability to work independently as well as a member of a high-performance team, exercise sound judgment, and able to successfully multi-task.
