Java Lead Programmer/Analyst

Description:Eaton Corporation located in Willoughby Hills, OH has an opening for a Programmer/Analyst who has demonstrated the capability to perform Analysis, Design, and Development for small to mid-size applications using J2EE technologies. Successful candidates must demonstrate proficiency working with Oracle based web applications running on application servers (BEA / JBOSS preferred, but not necessary). The ability to design and develop database server-side code is a desirable. Requirements for this position involve working closely with customers to define requirements and capture the requirements using UML or other methodologies. The candidate must be able to translate those requirements into design documents that they may work from individually or that may be used by other teams to develop the desired software.- Works as a J2EE Analyst, Designer, and Developer on software projects for various corporate and divisional customers (Finance, HR, etc).- Learns various technologies quickly and applies that knowledge to our customers needs. - Manages all software development duties following the EATON project management methodologies.- Demonstrates an awareness of and can recognize applicable business solutions being used across Eaton business units. Works with the business partner to leverage single solutions for multiple units. Accountable for solutions at an enterprise level.- Creates innovative solutions, suggests new technologies and participates in standards process. - Leads communications of increasing scope across an entire process initiative. Coordinates customer/supplier meetings. Engages senior leadership as needed.- Demonstrates the ability to estimate end to end processes. Candidate(s) must possess logical problem solving skills.
