JD Edwards / iSeries Coordinator

 

 Wenger's Feed Mill, Inc., a leading regional supplier of custom nutritional solutions for poultry and swine, seeks a JD Edwards/ iSeries Coordinator. 

The JD Edwards (“JDEâ€�) / iSeries Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of JDE Support and iSeries administration. As needed, this individual will be responsible for installing software upgrades, occasional programming, and ensuring proper utilization of iSeries resources. While a typical day may require this employee to handle issues outside of their immediate “Essential Functions,â€� the position can best be described as sixty-five (65) percent JDE related tasks, twenty-five (25) percent iSeries tasks, and ten (10) percent PC/LAN tasks.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

JDE

· Work with the IT Manager on implementing additional JDE modules as required, and maintaining the JDE software at the most current version appropriate for our business

· Work with the IT Manager to research and analyze the expanded and continual use of JDE within the organization

· Coordinate and implement customizations, interfaces, and “add-on� software tools with third-party providers

· Provide end-user technical and functional support

· Maintain World Writer and Query report standards and security

· Maintain setup documentation for implemented modules and system modifications

· Coordinate training for new users and continual education

· Continually seek and identify new and innovative process and system improvements

iSeries

· Maintain the iSeries at the most appropriate hardware and software levels for our organization

· Responsible for the installation and maintenance of all iSeries O/S, PTF, and cume installs and upgrades

· Monitoring and administration of iSeries resources including, but not limited to, performance, disk space, and availability

· Create, modify, test, and debug new or revised programs to ensure accurate functioning

· Provide end-user technical support

· Continually seek and identify new and innovative process and system improvements

 

In addition, this individual will participate in a rotating “on-call� schedule to provide error recovery support.

 

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience

· Understanding of iSeries system architecture and operating system

· Knowledge of JD Edwards from a technical and functional viewpoint, with experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, and/or Financials modules

· Basic knowledge of PC/LAN applications

· Ability to perform iSeries administration

· JD Edwards experience

· RPG/CL programming experience

· Self-motivation

· Ability to work well with end-users

· Good written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
