Inventory Control Lead

UNFI is currently recruiting an Inventory Control Lead to join our team of dedicated employees at our Auburn, WA facility. The Inventory Control Lead will be responsible for assisting with accurate and productive performance of all Inventory Control functions. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to actively participate in the coaching and development of employees, have good overall knowledge of inventory, receiving and stocking procedures.

 

Duties/ Responsibilities: Specific Duties include:Assist management in the day-to-day activities of the IC Department. Ability to make decisions pertaining to daily operations. Ability to oversee and direct the Inventory Control Department associates. Maintain accurate inventory through physical counts. Perform cycle counting: pick slots and reserve slots (Slotting). Researching and resolving discrepancies. Date checks. Resolving all pre-wave and master replenishment problems. Following up on all mis-slots and other quality issues. Removing aged product/slotting new product. Providing necessary adjustments to inventory. Reporting and documenting all errors. Checking product velocities and capacities. Checking miss-picks and lot detail reports. Communicating all inventory problems to the Warehouse Manager. Safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment. Housekeeping and other duties as needed, including receiving in other areas. Investigating lost sales.

 

Requirements/ Skills: Job Requirements: Minimum of two years previous inventory control experience. Possess strong leadership skills. Familiarity with BAKCO system desired. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to count accurately under all conditions. Must be highly organized, and able to multi-task. Able to prioritize and possess strong time management skills. Good working knowledge of inventory control practices and materials management. Must be able to operate a cherry picker & lift truck when necessary. Able to work with little or no supervision. Need to prioritize and plan daily work load. Ability to repeatedly lift packages of up to, and sometimes in excess of fifty pounds. Help out in other areas of the warehouse as needed. Good math, analytical, and investigative skills. Commitment to safe work practices; high regard for safety. Proven ability to work with WMS, UBS, and RF systems. Must be detail oriented. Ability to be cross-trained Capable of being licensed to safely operate powered industrial equipment, including electric pallet jacks, stock pickers and both reach and counter balance forklifts.
