Inventory Control I

Job Content:

 

1.  Overall purpose of this position: 2 positions available 

 

Ensure inventory accuracy levels concerned with order fulfillment.

 

2.  Major activities, which must be performed in order to carry out the purpose of the position as described above:

 

A. Research inventory discrepancies in all modules in WMS and in inventory module in FDM4. 

Must be able to drive an order picker and Hi-Lo/forklift

 

B. Prioritize work to meet shipping deadlines. (detail oriented)

 

C. Pick and pack found quantities into carton.  Update pick detail in WMS.

 

D. Perform stock moves and replenishment as needed.  Update moves in WMS.

 

E.  Calculate quantity of inventory to be placed on hold to prevent additional order shortages.  Update FDM4 work order.

 

F.  Record shortages and results of research on logs.

 

G. Fax shortage log to Customer Service every hour.

 

H. Print packing lists from WMS.

 

I.  Assure compliance with all related safety regulations.

 

J. Serve as a member of the Distribution Center team, providing assistance as required.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

1.  Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this

position.  Identify specific concepts, courses, training programs or required certifications.

 

§ Data entry and retrieval.

§ Good understanding of all WMS modules and FDM4 inventory and order entry modules.

§ Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift (up to 60 pounds).

§ Strong problem-solving skills.

§ Basic reading and math skills.

§ Demonstrated attention to detail.

§ Good organizational skills.

§ Work well under pressure; able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

§ Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.

§ Certified motorized equipment operator(electric pallet jack, stock picker, fork lift).

 

 

2.  Previous positions that are necessary background experience to qualify for this

Position.

 

Previous distribution center experience (picking, inventory, stock, etc…).
