Position Description:

We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerPosition Summary:Incumbent will work with import brokers on correct procedures, classifications and forwarders and 3 PL's to keep compliant with regulation and keep shipments of products moving. Must establish efficient procedures for developing and maintaining trade information. Will communicate and coordinate withPurchasing, Marketing, International Customer Service and the various shipping departments on a regular basis. Cross training to learn all areas of the trade data specialist positions is essential. Will work to create value and revenue enhancement for the company by applying for programs such as duty drawback, binding rulings, and free trade agreements. Must be able to demonstrate ability to work in a fast paced environment as well as multi-task several projects at one time.Job Requirements:Must have knowledge and 1-3 years of experience in import/export compliance regulations including but not limited to commodity code classification, NAFTA compliance and rules of origin along with an understanding of the general rules of interpretation. Must have the ability to measure cost savings and results of trade compliance. Incumbent will also be working on and updating both import and export compliance quick place intranet sites. Must have the ability to investigate vendor information to qualify items for preferential trade agreements. Must have SAP or similar ERP system experience. This is necessary to complete and change new and existing trade data. The position will also include updating information in a separate trade data repository. Will work with customs brokers, forwarders, and 3PL's to facilitate the movement of product across the globe. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Access). Ability to maintain accurate data and documents with excellent record keeping skills. Knowledge of US Customs regulations desirable. Must be detail and results oriented.
