Altec Industries thrives with talented and high-energy associates working in a team environment. There is an immediate need for an Inside Sales Representative in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

Duties will include but are not limited to:

* Prepare international customer cost estimates including labor, materials, transportation and other manufacturing costs.

* Develop detailed formal bid proposals by working with Engineering, Production and Outside Sales.

* Establish sales prices through the development of accurate cost quotes.

* Verify design viability with customer and vendor.

* Support outside sales team, conduct plant through and host customer inspections.

 

Basic qualifications:

* Bachelors degree required; engineering or business discipline preferred

* 2+ years of successful experience in a related sales position required

* Above average attention to detail and mechanical aptitude required

* Proven ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines required

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

 

 

Successful candidates will effectively interact with other associates, departments, division, distributors, vendors and customers. Analytical, verbal and written skills are in demand. A basic understanding of international business principles and practices will support involvement in the bigger picture. This is for the individual with a capacity as a self-starter with ability to work under only a moderate level of supervision. Be a confident, dynamic, and successful part of the team.
