International Customer Service Representative

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Talks with customers by phone or at times in person to discuss product applications; receives orders and data, prepares them for entry into order entry system.
• Communicates with customers in person, by phone or corresponds in writing to solve ordering product, commercial or technical problems.
• Fills out forms, determines pricing for product requested.
• Solicits sale of new or additional products.
• Handles complaints concerning billing, shipments and products referring complaints to failures to designated departments for evaluations and follows up for corrective action.
• Uses information systems to determine customer order status.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate customer and ordering information in operating system.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years experience in a customer facing position
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English and Spanish.
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English and Spanish.
- Ability to effectively present in English and Spanish information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to prepare and experience in preparing International shipping documents
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer skills:
- Prior experience with Symix preferred.
- Ability to work within Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Other required skills:
- Understand and use terminology used by the safe industry and locksmiths.
- Communicate in technical terms to uncover and solve problems.
- Must be familiar with International Business transactions including knowledge of Incoterms definitions, Letters of Credit, Sight Drafts, etc.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
- Talk or hear.
- Sit frequently.
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Occasionally walk and reach with hands and arms.
