Inter-Company Team Lead

Our core values - ethics and integrity, independence, innovation and quality - are the foundation of our company and drive every decision and action we take.If you thrive on challenges and have the ability and talent to be a Timken associate, we currently have an opportunity to join our team.Key responsibilities of this role include:  Execution of the monthly financial close schedule.  Review and ensure all charges are billed to international units according to policy and procedure.  Coordinate completion of standard and nonstandard journal entries.  Validate current month inter company transactions occured according to policy. Oversee and/or confirm the update of inter company related pricing agreements.  Including but not exclusive to transfer pricing, material standards, service agreements, and annual fee schedules. Review and follow up of inter company payable/receivable ageings.  This will include steering resolution of disputed items.  Identify, develop and implement SAP procedures for Inter company Accounting.  SAP procedures are managed centrally and apply to all entities reporting from the instance.  Document and train associates on these procedures.  The customers of this position range from Project managers and General accountants to Plant, Entity and Business controllers. Guide associates through the process of research and analysis within the SAP system, which can require extensive use of Microsoft excel and/or access;  assisting them in locating the source of an issue, and seeing it through to resolution.  This may involve communication with the SAP Production support team, and/or an ammendment to an existing business procedure.  Remain current on accounting standards, not only US GAAP, but have knowledge of IFRS requirements and be in support of local reporting requirements of international SAP entities. Evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and procedures and make recommendations to department manager in accordance with current best practices.  Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in Accounting or Business management, or related field. Master's Degree with 5 years of experience in Accounting or Business management, or related field. Ability to lead small groups of people in reaching targeted goals. Skilled at issue resolution;  logical, fact-based conclusions with options for resolution. Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls requirements Must be skilled in communications both  oral / written. Extensive PC skills, particulary Microsoft Excel, Access, Word. Desired: SAP experience in finance and controlling modules a plus. CPA. Watch our video to  learn more about us. www.timken.com
