Insides Sales Manager -- International

Seakeeper, Inc. is a five year old company founded with the mission of developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative motion control devices for boats under 150 feet (50 meters) in length.  The Company recently completed research and development of its first product, a Gyro Stabilizer, and is now commercially manufacturing and marketing the product.  This product is a “game changing� technology and has the potential to become standard equipment in all future luxury yachts.  Sales are done primarily through a network of distributors to OEM boat builders and end users.

 

Seakeeper’s headquarters are located in Solomons, Maryland and its manufacturing facility is located in Mohnton, PA.  Currently the company has approximately 11 full time employees but will grow to 25+ in the next 18 months.

 

We are a young, dynamic company in search of an enthusiastic, motivated, and capable individual who will contribute to our rapid growth in the global marine equipment industry.  We are now seeking an internationally experienced Inside Sales Manager -- International to support the expected growth of the company.  The successful individual must be a mature, energetic, self starter with the ability to thrive in a fast growth, start-up environment where everyone wears multiple hats and will play an integral role in the success of the sales organization.  We are looking for a team oriented individual with a proven track record of producing results in a sales position with direct experience working with and supporting a global distribution network.  The candidate must be technically capable and able to communicate in a professional manner on the phone and in person with customers, distributors, dealers, and boat yards.  The qualified candidate must be proficient in computer skills with specific experience in Microsoft Office and CRM applications.  The successful individual must be extremely confident and able to operate independently with limited supervision.  A college degree is required and bilingual skills would be a major plus.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Establish and cultivate partnerships with OEM customers and distributors/dealers/boat yards around the globe via phone, fax, email, etc.

·       Generate sales by filtering inquiries and closing opportunities either independently or in association with other members of the sales team and distributor network

·       Enter and maintain sales/order data in the Company’s CRM and order entry system

·       Supply customers with timely responses regarding order/shipment status, product information, pricing, and company information

·       Solve customer problems by listening to their concerns and providing practical solutions

·       Produce sales and pipeline reports as required

·       Allocate up to 10% of working time to support customer and distributor/dealer/boat yard training and factory visits, and support the company presence at exhibitions and conferences

·       Perform other duties as they are assigned

 

Professional Qualifications/Skills:

·       International sales and distributor support

·       Enthusiasm for speaking with customers and providing the highest level service

·       Exceptional phone skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with international commercial and technical contacts

·       Excellent organization and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

·       Process oriented and disciplined in the use of the order entry system, CRM system, and sales reporting

·       Positive attitude and willingness to own the problem from beginning to end, even if that means doing things beyond the actual job description

·       A proactive business approach and a high level of enthusiasm with the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment that requires effective multi-tasking

·       Highest standards of honesty, integrity and endeavor

·       Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems)

·       5-7 years inside sales, distribution and international account management experience is required

·       College degree
