Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer
Our client is the recognized leader in their segment of the commercial refrigeration industry and their facility in southern SC has been a recipient of Industry Weeks “Top Ten Plants” Award. This position will provide manufacturing engineering support for new and current products so they are built in a safe working environment, to high quality standards, and in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. Responsibilities include: · develop, document, and implement the manufacturing processes for assigned products and parts · develop labor standards, routings and workstation layouts to provide a balanced workflow· performs detailed time and motion studies · evaluate, initiate and implement Engineering Change Notices · provide back up to Manager to sustain quality and productivity levels by coaching hourly teams Along with a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering our client requires: · Experience in assembly techniques and tool design in a lean manufacturing environment· Some basic CAD knowledge· time study and line balancing · ability to read prints and BOMS · structured problem solving abilities· sheet metal fabrication a plus · supervisory experience or capability A very competitive compensation ($55K to 75K), benefit and relocation package is provided.
