Industrial Engineer
Industrial Engineer Tyco Safety Products is a worldwide leader in fire protection and electronic security solutions. Within Tyco Safety Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and supply chain solutions. Ansul is a division of Tyco Fire & Security and is currently searching for an Engineer (Industrial) Manufacturing to be located in Marinette, Wisconsin. Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible to improve manufacturing operations by implementing new or improved processes that increase output, improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs while simultaneously maintaining or improving operator safety. · Identify, lead, execute and complete LEAN projects to support On Time Delivery of quality products and cost savings initiatives.· Support safety and ergonomic efforts.· Work out plans to solve quality problems and reduce scrap.· Develop, evaluate, document and improve manufacturing methods and processes through LEAN techniques and Kaizen events.· Evaluate and implement opportunities for reductions in methods and processes.· Conceive, investigate, evaluate and make recommendations for new equipment, tooling, new or improve methods/processes, improved utilization of existing equipment, facilities and manufacturing techniques.· Provide ongoing production support and troubleshooting as required.· Drive plant layout changes.· Ensure project completion within acceptable schedule and budget. Job Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Industrial Engineering from an accredited university. (on-line education does not qualify.)· 5 years experience in supporting a manufacturing area with improving methods and processes.· Lean Manufacturing including leading Kaizen events.· Experience in metal processing and manual assembly operations a plus.· Demonstrated track record of solving problems quickly & efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment a plus.· Strong ability to complete projects accurately, within budget, and in a timely manner a plus.· Proficient with use of computer and software applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and AutoCAD a plus.· Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
