Industrial Designer

This position is located at Presence From Innovation's (PFI) St. Louis office, but the majority of the design is for our sister company, Jahahow.  Jahabow is a complete provider of glass, wood and metal display case and store fixture solutions.  We proudly partner with a wide variety of leading retailers and brand marketers throughout the U.S. as well as some small enterprises.  We support our customers' market image and merchandising efforts by designing, manufacturing and installing custom-crafted solutions to help their customers enjoy the view.

 

The Industrial Designer originates, develops and coordinates ideas to design the outer form of manufactured products. Other duties include:

●  Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as, appearance (aesthetics), design-function relationships (form and function), reliability/serviceability, materials and methods engineering, application /usage, budget, production costs, production methods (manufacturability), market characteristics, and customer specifications.

●    Integrates findings and concept ideas into sketches and computer-aided renderings. Presents design to company personnel and customers for review and discusses need for modification and change.

●  Builds simulated models, using hand and power tools and various materials.

●  Designs products for custom applications. produced from wood, glass, metal and other materials.

●  Maintains current knowledge in the field of Industrial Design via market tours, customer visits, publications, seminars and tradeshows.

●  Works under general supervision.

●  Follows and adheres to company policies and procedures.

●  Is adept with rendering software and has a working knowledge of 3D CAD modeling software
