IT Manager, International
Job Summary: Responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working principally with senior management. Acts as a liaison between IT and the business community on setting the IT direction and priorities to meet business strategies. Responsible for communicating and clarifying business needs / strategies, contributing to the development of long-range enterprise systems plans, and ensuring products and services are aligned with business needs. Supports one or more highly complex and significant strategic business functions Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides strategic consultancy support to assigned customers in defining or designing business processes (process architects) and researching and identifying enabling technologies based on customer requirements. 2. Directs projects and responsible for the overall implementation and execution of project and performance criteria; maintains full knowledge of all stages of business-specific technology implementations. 3. Actively seek ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends and competitors as well as practices relevant to assigned business community. 4. Ally with other IT domain areas to remain apprised of project status and inform business management of progress, conversely, keep IT's domain management aware of business community issues and resolve conflicts. 5. Ensures enterprise priorities are established and communicated to business community. 6. Facilitates development of cross-line business solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques. 7. Ensures their respective areas have the appropriate level of communication regarding IT matters and setting expectations 8. Provides strategic and operational direction for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s information technology infrastructure. 9. Participates in the investigation, selection, and operation of all hardware, software, operating systems, and network technology Job Requirements: Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Systems required; an MBA is preferred. Seven to ten years in either of the following: IT experience in business systems analysis in a large-scale environment across multiple hardware and software platforms and Business experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of large-scale integrated systems. Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change. Experience with new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing. Three or more years of management experience including strong competencies and experience with the following areas: Strategic thinking and leadership, with strong abilities in relationship management; Knowledge of the assigned business area's products and processes; Experience in the strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business; Ability to effectively express complex technical concepts; Strong project management and execution of large-scale development projects (or co-management with IT or business unit); Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all management levels; Strong written and verbal communications skills; and Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
