Hybrid Power & Energy Management Specialist
Description:Eaton Corporation's Innovation Center has an opening for a Hybrid Power & Energy Management Specialist. The location of this position could be flexible among areas where our innovation center has presence currently. This includes Milwaukee, WI; Galesburg, MI; or Southfield MI. Other possible locations may include Eden Prairie, MN or Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the design and development of battery management systems for Lithium-Ion cells in commercial vehicle applications. This position designs and specifies vehicle-based battery management systems that meet all requirements for performance, safety, durability, and cost. It will develop creative and commercially viable solutions to design issues relating to vehicle-based battery management systems. No phone calls or 3rd party vendors please.414Qualifications:This position requires a Master's Degree in EE with concentration in electronics and circuit design, PhD preferred, and a minimum of five years hands-on experience in the design, development and application of energy management systems for hybrid vehicles, including cell balancing circuits pertaining to Li Ion batteries; Good understanding of battery management systems as applied to Lithium-Ion cells; Understanding of Lithium-Ion cell balancing technology, electrical energy storage technology and digital communications.
