Human Resources Manager

This position is the lead Human Resources professional responsible for a full range of Human Resources services within the assigned Business Unit within Wisconsin Operations. The incumbent is responsible for the following:·  Maximizes the impact of human capital to meet organizational objectives within the assigned Business Unit and assures that HR products and services support the overall business goals. ·  Leads a group of professional and administrative employees to deliver quality, value-added and customer-driven HR services, i.e. Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Health and Safety, Compensation and Benefits Administration, Staffing and Diversity. ·  Provides consulting, coaching, problem solving and resources to stakeholders while ensuring that HR-related services and processes contribute directly to achievement of stakeholder and company goals.·  Constantly focuses on continuous improvement of Human Resources products/services and processes in support of the organization’s strategy.·  Establishes/provides resources to improve the effectiveness of individuals and teams.·  Generates innovative ideas and applies change theory to ensure the impact of key initiatives.·  Ensures appropriate technology is employed to support HR processes and organizational effectiveness.  The HR professional in this position:·  Provides leadership for a team of HR professionals who provide customer access to a range of HR services.·  Works in a complex organization that includes represented employees and is the primary interface with respective union leadership.·  Manages the cooperative partnering relationships with our local unions. ·  Collaborates with the HR team to produce products/services that are tailored to meet customer needs and manages the delivery to ensure high levels of customer input and satisfaction.·  Is a proactive business partner with the senior leadership and the unions in identifying and addressing the critical needs of the business.·  Ensures HR processes and systems align employee behaviors and organizational goals.·  Assures compliance with all regulatory/governmental reporting and key legal policies/practices within the HR domain to protect the interest of the organization and individuals within the scope of the job.·  Advises and counsels managers, supervisors, union leaders, and employees regarding employee relations and performance effectiveness issues.·  Performs a wide variety of duties under tight timetables and deadlines in response to changing business needs by: * Operating with substantial latitude in regard to independent actions and decisions. * Defining and constructing appropriate solutions to business problems as they relate to employee relations issues.·  Participating as a strategic business partner to ensure on-time delivery of quality HR systems and processes to support stakeholder strategies. * Ensuring alignment and articulation of key HR systems and processes. * Recommending innovative, common sense approaches to the HR business issues. * Participating in continuous improvements of the design, implementation, and measurement of HR programs and processes. Â·  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or social sciences with an emphasis in Human Resources or related field required.  A Master’s Degree is preferred. ·  PHR/SPHR certification preferred. ·  Eight (8) or more years of proven broad Human Resources generalist experience with at least 4 years at the supervisory / managerial level.·  Demonstrated outstanding labor relations experience, including negotiating skills/experience.·  Demonstrated outstanding employee relations experience, including demonstrated successful results in maintaining fairness and consistency in an unstructured, ambiguous environment with few policies.·  Thorough knowledge of employment and labor law, affirmative action compliance/EEO regulations and guidelines.·  Knowledge of current HR policies and practices with application in the day-to-day work environment.·  Strong judgment and decision-making ability as well as demonstrated problem solving skills.·  Demonstrated skill and effectiveness as a coach/consultant.·  Ability to successfully measure and track results.·  Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to be sensitive to stakeholders needs and provide excellent customer service.·  Demonstrated competency in technical, professional and managerial recruitment.·  Ability to introduce change and foster a positive business culture.·  Strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and the ability to work in an ambiguous and ever-changing environment.·  Ability to maintain confidentiality.·  Travel up to 50%If interested please visit www.harley-davidson.jobs and apply to JOB ID #2511.
