Human Resources Administrator
POSITION: Human Resources Benefits Administrator
REPORTS TO: HR Supervisor DIRECT REPORTS: 0
Area of Accountability:
Major Responsibilities:
· Provide employees and eligible dependents with interpretation of benefit plans; provide assistance with issues or concerns related to benefits and resolution of same. Maintain applicable eligibility databases, employee files and process related documents to ensure appropriate benefit coverage. Control and maintain security and confidentiality of employee records and related reports to be familiar with all aspects of benefits. Provide salary administration support for hourly employees and backup for salaried employees. Prepare monthly reports and quarterly organizational charts. Prepare EEO reporting information for Annual Affirmative Action plan. Keep files electronically of all current PQ’s.
· Assist current employees and their eligible dependents with enrollment of benefits, issues or concerns and the resolution of benefit issues/concerns. Provide retirees and terminating employees information on benefit options, COBRA rates, retiree medical rates, retiree benefit plans, etc. Inform payroll of final pay information, vacation pay, etc for terminating employees
· Prepare reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in a timely and accurate manner, i.e., monthly attendance reports, headcount and population reports, Annual EEO-1 reports, Affirmative Action reporting, Organizational Charts
· Ensure accurate information is on file in the applicable database and employee files to reflect benefit elections and coverage chosen for employees and eligible dependents. Keep employees files up to date, personnel files, benefit files, etc., with current information. Ensure that correct job codes are maintained in system for accurate EEO-1 reporting. Maintain records to ensure compliance with practice or regulations. Keep up to date electronic PQ file for all salaried job positions
· Prepare, disseminate and monitor status of hourly employee performance and wage reviews to ensure they are prepared and administered in a timely manner.
· Employee Relations/Communications: Develop an environment that is conducive to maintaining positive employee relations. Communicate changes and enhancements to policies or benefit plans to employees utilizing oral and written correspondence.
· Maintains HR records by ensuring that applications, resumes, position profiles, requisitions, and interview records and job offers are documented and filed.
Qualifications:
· Four year degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. Two year degree required in Human Resources or a related field.
· Four years experience in human resources or benefits, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
· Experience in a team or participative workforce environment is preferred.
· Well versed in HRIS systems and the legal aspects of Human Resources.
· Excellent PC skills, including databases, processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications, etc.
