Recognized as one of America’s fastest growing staffing firm, SMX Staffing, a leading provider of staffing solutions for fortune 500 clients, seeks an experienced Hiring Supervisor and a Seasonal Recruiter to work at our busy warehouse/distribution facilities in Chambersburg, PA. For the Supervisor position, we prefer that you have a warehouse/logistics or manufacturing background and have strong client relations. For the Seasonal Recruiter position, we prefer you have a minimum of 1 year assisting recruitment efforts in a professional environment.
Responsibilities of the Hiring Supervisor
The Hiring supervisor will spend most of the time interacting with employees in the receiving, replenishment, pick/packaging and shipping departments. Most of your time will be spend on the warehouse floor coaching and monitoring our employees’ performance.Assist the Senior Production Manager with maintaining a highly motivated team Provide immediate front line customer service to management team, associate and clientsManage weekly schedules for all employeesParticipates in our Client’s meetingsMake associate hiring and firing decisions Handle order requests and changes from client contacts Handle associate relations activities, communications, and investigationsHandle Safety inspectionsWork on special projects and performance incentive programs to help meet operational goals.Maintain time clock database up-to-date in order to process payroll.Assist with reports by using MS Office applications
Day shift schedule will be communicated throughout the process. We are offering up to $35,000 plus an excellent benefits package!
Responsibilities of the Seasonal Recruiter
As a Recruiter, most of your time will be interacting, contacting, interviewing and placing qualified employees to work for our manufacturing facility. We will provide all the necessary training and tools in order for you to become a successful recruiter. This is a temporary position and is estimated to last through December 31st 2008.
· Be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
· Have strong customer service skills
· Process interviews and placing advertisements, conducting Orientations, submitting background checks and drug tests.
· Create new employee file and manage their paperwork
· Identify resolution to issues and take actions and able to work in a fast paced environment
· Analyze reports on weekly basis to identify recruitment needs
· Meet with the Senior Account Manager and with the client to understand and analyze the recruitment forecast. Requirements for Both Positions
· High School/GED
· Minimum of 2 year of management/supervisory experience for the Shift Supervisor position
· Minimum of 2 years assisting recruitment efforts in a professional business environment for the Seasonal Recruiter position
· Experience in a warehouse/distribution or manufacturing/production environment is a plus
· Computer Skills (MS Office, Excel, PPT and Word)
· Strong Customer Service and Client Relations
