Help Desk Technician II
SUMMARY OF POSITION: this position is responsible for handling all issues that are called and emailed to our IS Helpdesk. The position requires expert knowledge of IS Hardware and intermediate knowledge of software to perform the required duties for Level 1 and 2 support. Support must also be concluded in a timely and efficient matter. These task should be done in the safest and most efficient manner possible. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Must observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed. Responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.• Must have understanding of all current plant policies and procedures.• Will monitor help desk e-tickets and provide user phone-support. • Will be responsible for desktop maintenance, laser printer issues, password lockouts and minor software issues.• Provide desktop resources to new and current users.• Responsible for new issuer IDs, new desktops, user profile construction, telephone and voicemail administration.• Asset management and maintenance.• Responsible for tracking and installation of software licenses and IS hardware.• Responsible for the maintenance of an effective back-up and recovery system.Requirements: Education: Associates degree specializing in Computer Science.Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in ISSkills/Competencies:Good communication and problem solving skills.Other Skills: Must be able to speak, read and write the English language To apply online, please use the following link: Apply To Covidien Click here to see all “Covidien” opportunities Visit our web site to learn more about Covidien EMAIL THIS JOB TO A FRIENDCOVIDIEN, COVIDIEN with Logo and "positive results for life" are trademarks of Covidien AG. ©2007 Covidien AG or its affiliate.
