HEAT TREAT PRODUCTION MANAGER

 

IPSCO Tubulars (Oklahoma), located at the Port of Catoosa, has a career opportunity for Heat Treat Production Manager.  If you have management experience in Heat Treat procedures and equipment, and you have good people skills, this is a CAREER OPPORTUNITY for you!  The Heat Treat Manager will set the standard and guide the department to continual improvement. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate activities of all Heat Treat personnel.Manage scheduling to ensure efficient and timely flow of product through departments.Maintain awareness of equipment condition, notifying Maintenance Manager of items requiring attention, and executing those actions necessary to maintain safe and effective equipment.Provide training of personnel.Participate in project management and planning as necessary to ensure efficient handling of projects.Coordinate activities of outside vendors as necessary to enable timely completion of department functions and activities.Prepare data and information for Metallurgy and/or Management consideration.Perform or coordinate Safety and Human Resource functions as appropriate within department.Provide weekend and after hours support as necessary.

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:10 yrs experience in management and manufacturing environment.5 years experience in pipe heat treating and straightening environment Minimum education: High School Diploma.Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.Must have commitment to safety.Proficient PC skills with knowledge of MS Office software.Detail-oriented, and good multi-tasking skills.Physical ability suitable for walking through shop, demonstrating proper use of equipment operation.
