Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) Manager

Global Automotive Supplier located in Metro-Detroit is currently seeking a Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) Manager. 

 The Responsibilities for the Role Include:Leading safety strategy and provide HS&E leadership for multiple facilities.Managing the HS&E key element system while providing HS&E leadership to ensure or exceed compliance with internal and external HS&E key elements across the site including production, engineering, maintenance, shipping & receiving and office functions. Developing and/or update site specific policies, procedures and processes. Track and own the reporting of HS&E metrics and permits (incident reports, environmental statistics, external regulatory permits/reporting). Building HS&E capability across all areas of the site including production, engineering, maintenance, shipping and receiving and office functions. Leading the continuous improvement of all HS&E losses, with specific attention on Total Incident Rate (TIR). Building collaborative relationships with both internal (site and company- wide) and external (regulatory agencies) authorities.

 The Requirements for the Role Include:

· BS/BA - HS &E or similar degree

· Automotive/Manufacturing Environment

· Health Safety and Environmental Exp. (10+) years

· Plant Experience

· OSHA Compliance

· Knowledge of ISO - Compliance/Requirements

· Knowledge of TS16949

· Strong Communication Skills

· Exp. In Workers Compensation

· Risk Management Exp. (a plus)
