Hardware Development Technician - Electrical MechanicalDescription: Work for a worldwide supplier of the most advanced automation, power control products for the manufacturing arena. Under close supervision perform various duties to install, maintain, and develop lab test equipment. Assist in planning, construction, modifications, and repairs to development lab work cells and dynes as directed by the lab coordinator. Duties may include installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment, assembly of drives and dynes, soldering, heavy and light wiring and documenting equipment. May perform calibration checks on electronic instruments; completely troubleshoot a system to determine cause and remedy for malfunction. Assist supervisor in control of maintenance inventory and supplies and in implementation of programs, such as preventative maintenance, total productive maintenance, management-of-change (MOC), and related. Actively support safety programs through preparation and maintenance of department safety-related processes and procedures, including lockout-tag out (LOTO), inspections, and related. Work with outside contractors for assigned projects; including obtaining bids, follow up, problem resolution, etc. Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, maneuver around large motor and dyne equipment, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, and be willing to work in a lab with high voltage (480Vac to 690Vac).
