PEP manufactures: standard, modified and custom enclosures and cabinets; cases, subracks, backplanes, turn-key and custom microcomputer systems; and high volume stamped chassis and assemblies.  With North American facilities located in California, Illinois, Rhode Island, and Mexico, Pentair Electronic Packaging is structured for success. HR Manager -- PEP Poway, CA   Reporting to the Division Human Resources Director, this role is the lead HR position responsible for partnering with site business and functional leaders on a broad range of HR initiatives and programs in support of a 400-employee manufacturing facility in Poway, California.  The HR Manager partners with other HR leaders within and outside the division on broader HR initiatives and projects.  The HR Manager supervises a staff of 2-3 HR generalists.   Responsibilities:   · Employee relations: This plant is non-union with a diverse employee population.  Current opportunities include supporting culture change around operational excellence through Lean principles, and working with the plant leadership to create a cohesive management and team culture through the Pentair values.  · Compensation & Benefits: Creating and implementing an aligned compensation structure and making recommendations on internal equity will be an opportunity in this role, as well as managing existing corporate driven comp and benefit programs. · Training: Management training, process control, and personal development are all opportunities for contribution. · Talent Management: Performance management process, talent acquisition, and talent development are all keys to the success of the organization. · Organizational Design: Reviewing current structure and recommending improvements to align the business with current and future needs are critical opportunities due to a recent acquisition. · Continuous Improvement: The role will involve looking at existing processes and focusing on improvement of tools, digitization, process controls, etc. · Safety: The HR Manager will play an active role in improving safe operations, in partnership with plant management.     Requirements:   ·  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline required; Masters degree in HR, MBA, certification or advanced education/training in HR (SPHR, PHR) strongly preferred. ·  7-10 years of progressive HR experience with industry-leading companies, to include 5+ years of significant HR generalist experience. ·  Familiarity with Federal and California Labor Law and Human Resource practices. ·  Strong partnership, communication, and facilitation skills. ·  Able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans. ·  Solid project execution skills. ·  Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities. ·  Flexible, motivated and resourceful. ·  Effective problem-solving/analytical skills. ·  Ability to deal with employees at all levels and maintains good employee relations. ·  Above average attention to detail. ·  Handle stressful situations calmly and swiftly, and using good judgment to resolve issues.
