This position will help research and classify all CCH products and technical data as required for the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes to determine the appropriate classification used for calculation of duty rates for purchased and engineered parts, and for country of origin determination and marking in accordance with proper classification procedures. Provide data to maintain SAP foreign trade fields and update HTS codes as applicable. They will also perform tariff analysis using costed and classified Bills of Material (BOM) to determine accurate Rules of Origin tariff shift, Regional Value Content (RVC) calculation and substantial transformation. Use General Rules of Interpretation (GRI) and US Trade Representative website to determine Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems to validate the tariff analysis for audit purposes and update files on a yearly basis. Job Requirements: Education and Experience: High School diploma. 3-5 years of experience. Extensive knowledge of electrical products. The preferred candidate will have extensive knowledge of Crouse-Hinds products and their applications. Working knowledge of Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
