Be a team member of the Hopewell Resins & Chemicals HS&E team to ensure a one-plant approach to HS&E is maintained at Hopewell.
 
Responsibilities
Drive a strong structured safety process culture.
 
Serve on site HS&E Management Systems (RC14001) team to ensure one-site approach in achieving and maintaining ACC certification.
 
With the assistance of appropriate resources, anticipate future regulatory impacts and develop/implement strategies to sustain compliance.
 
With the assistance of appropriate resources, lead the implementation of new HS&E standards.
 
Utilizing appropriate HOS principles, effectively drive compliance accountability into the everyday life of the operational staff.
 
Utilize standardized work and leadership standardized work to ensure the appropriate discipline is understood.
 
Create a continuous improvement culture.
 
Appropriately benchmark, audit, and seek the advice of experts to seek the most effective solution.
 
Ensures a timely and complete root cause investigation of all HS&E incidents is completed.
 
Ensures compliance training is completed in an effective and efficient manner.
 
Tracks the status and closure of all HS&E action items in Omnisafe and Corporate Event Tracking System as appropriate.
 
Lead development of HS&E strategy deployment; ensures alignment with Resins & Chemicals HS&E strategy deployment
 
Support RMP,PSM and other compliance efforts through successful implementation of management system approach
 
 
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5 years HS&E and Chemical Manufacturing ExperienceExperience with HSE regulations (e.g., RCRA, Title V, Hazardous Waste Combustor NESHAP, Miscellaneous Organic NESHAP, LDAR, RMP, PSM, etc.)Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or Environmental Engineering is required.
