HR Generalist
Job Description:SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Human Resources Generalist supports the overall Human Resources and Location function through recruiting, training, performance management, safety, benefits, payroll and employee relations. Participate with management team members in training efforts, succession planning, and developmental opportunities of staff. Champion of location Milgard Performance System (MPS). KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the consistent application of Human Resources (HR) activities (i.e. employment, compensation, MPS, benefits, training, payroll, employee relations and safety). Responsible for benefit plan interpretation, communication, and enrollment including the standard benefits package and retirement plans. Coordinates and communicates employee programs (i.e. employee of the quarter, service awards, MG/CAT, etc.) Writes and delivers presentations regarding human resources policies and procedures. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Assists in the development and presentation of management training in Company human resources policies and supervision/management training. Conducts new-hire training programs (Orientation, MPS, etc.) Tracks training programs and training hours for location and corporate reporting. Performs recruiting process to include placing of advertisements, screening and interviewing applicants, coordinating hiring process and pre-employment testing. Prepares necessary documentation for employee onboarding, termination, resignation, etc. Conducts exit interviews. Creates and executes MPS objectives, meeting MPS commitments and working within the guidelines of MPS; reflects Milgard business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this position.
