P&H offers an environment with a continual focus on the training and development of employees within a strong, growing organization. We are currently looking for a Group Leader, Rotating Factory (Machining) -3rd Shift to join our highly skilled manufacturing team at our Milwaukee, WI location.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:The Group Leader, Rotating Factory at P&H Mining will be primarily responsible for supporting the 3rd shift machine shop and subassembly area manufacturing operations. Oversee, manage, lead and develop a highly experienced skilled workforce within a Union environment. Other responsibilities include departmental safety, quality, adherence to established processes and managing the skilled union workforce to achieve maximum productivity and optimum efficiency throughout within the factory. The ability to build/foster teamwork and maintain excellent communication across all shifts and with other areas of the factory is required. The position also requires ability to solve process issues normally associated with machining and assembly.

QUALIFICATIONS:Prior experience leading production departments in a manufacturing environment.  Experience in managing teams or supervising personnel is required. Need the ability to read drawings and understand engineering requirement.  Excellent interpersonal communication and assertive shop floor management skills are required. General knowledge of management processes, in particular gear machining and heat-treating is required. Microsoft Office suite of products and personal computer skills are required.

DESIRED:Bachelor's Degree or is a plus Prior experience supervising personnel in a union environment a plus. Machining and mechanical assembly process experience is preferred SAP systems knowledge is a plus.
