Overview:Gibraltar Metals is a leading distributor of metal bar and tubular products in North America. We purchase over 25,000 different metal products in large quantities from primary producers, including a broad mix of carbon, alloy and stainless steel and aluminum bar, tubular and plate products. Industry:Industrial distributor with corporate office in Boca Raton, FL and warehouses in Connecticut, Illinois and California. Description:Job Purpose:Obtain profit contribution by managing a company with emphasis in selling in a distribution environment. Warehousing and brokerage business. Duties:* Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions.* Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.* Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.* Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.* Builds company image by collaborating with customers, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.* Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Ideal candidate should have experience in a distribution environment preferably involved with managing sales in his/her career.
