General Manager

Specific Responsibilities:
A. Direct and manage the activities and performance of Territory Account Managers assigned to this branch
B. Assume complete responsibility for all aspects of the operation- sales, gross margin, operating margin, technician productivity, recruiting and hiring.
1. Direct and coordinate the operation activities of the office to insure all orders are processed accurately and quickly to meet the highest standards.
2. Responsible for ensuring continuing process improvements and efficiencies to meet the customer needs and company goals. Direct the ordering, shipping and inventory of product and supplies in an efficient manner.
3. Supervise activities of assigned personnel to insure operating quality of product, installation, and timely shipment with a minimum of errors.
4. Responsible for the management of human resources functions and duties including processes and policies, timekeeping, employee orientation, benefits personnel files and required paperwork processing.
5. Responsible for the development of customer relationships which insure customer satisfaction and provide technical and/or operational guidance. This includes the resolution of customer problems with speed and look for ways to eliminate similar future problems.
6. Actively participate in visits to customers as a means of increasing revenue.
7. Responsible for the management of employee training and direct the training of employees on company policies, procedures and products.
8. Responsible for ensuring consistency of action between customer service and production; coordinates activities to insure a faster degree of teamwork and cooperation.
9. Responsible to serve as the Information Systems representative for system upgrades, implementations and issues with software and/or hardware.
10. Perform duties and responsibilities as described in the quality system.
11. Assist Regional Operations Manager as required, and performs other responsibilities, as requested by management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Skills or experience with personal computers, including electronic E-mail, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Thorough knowledge of services, sales and/or customer contact, and product.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to manage remote site processes and employees.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in work experience required
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in sales office.
• 3 years supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience managing remote-site employee’s preferred.
