Plastic injection molding company seeks an experienced First Article Inspector. Duties include performing detailed and accurate inspection of components from new or revised molds and assist in other quality departments as deemed necessary.

 



Must have the ability to work with the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry as well as perform statistical studies on components and gauging. Will be responsible for performing and accurately reporting on the layout inspection of new, revised parts and assemblies.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Two year Vo-Tech inspection program or equivalent on-the-job experience plus course work in inspection, gauging, blueprint reading, SPC and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

 

Two years layout and/or other inspection experience on precision production parts.  One year exposure to injection molding, in any capacity.  Must be able to have a working knowledge of mechanical inspection equipment, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Direct Computer Control (DCC).
