This position would assist the Manager-Financial Analysis in completing the process and analysis for the monthly forecast for Executive Council review, quarterly forecast for Board of Directors, Long-range strategic forecasts, and any special forecast requests deemed necessary by senior management. Key responsibilities of the role include:Determine timing of monthly or special forecast & communicate to all 3 Business Controllers and their organizations. Coordinate & communicate common input assumptions for business and/or corporate inputs. Determine when adjustments should be made at a top consolidated level as a Management Adjustment or pushed back to business maintained inputs as well as manage coordination of these inputs. Once business forecast is complete, finalize corporate inputs and complete the profit/loss and cash/debt consolidated forecasts. Analyze results and distribute as needed. This requires the ability to work independently with limited direction. Complete various variance analysis for Sales, EBIT, EPS, Cash Flow. For example, actual vs Business Plan, actual vs prior forecast, current forecast vs prior forecast. Work closely with Business Units to understand changes. This position will need to exercise judgement on materiality to accomplish this task. Responsible for changes to the forecast process related to acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures. Provide forecast used for annual review of Goodwill Impairment (FAS 142) tests. Ability to analyze, reconcile, and fully articulate any explanation necessary to support executive review of consolidated forecast.Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance major with 5-7 yrs experience. Master's in Accounting or Finance major with 3-5 yrs experience. Involved with monthly closing process & analysis. Experience with developing & using modeling techniques. Previous exposure to both corporate & unit segmentation elements of an organization. Highly organized & able to handle multiple tasks concurrently with tight deadlines. Outstanding analytical/investigative skills. Ability to work independently. Recognize patterns & trends to spot anomalies.
