General Position Summary: Support the Columbia Sportswear Company brand image at retail, including Concept Shops, Performance Fixtures, Brand Signage and Point of Purchase programs with CSC retail accounts. Establishing and sustaining positive relationships with accounts through merchandising training, verbal and written communication and education of Columbia Sportswear Company is a priority.

 Specific job skills Concept Shop management, coordination, installation and maintenance within assigned territories is a primary function. Concise and accurate reports will be sent to a large audience within CSC, Sales Reps and retail accounts. CSC Visual Merchandising clinics will be conducted to educate accounts and retail staff about CSC merchandising standards, guidelines and proper shop maintenance. Possess intermediate knowledge of Visual Retail Merchandising. Intermediate Word and Excel skills along with above average ability to read, write and speak English. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Mental ability to conduct interpersonal interactions with vendors and other company personnel. Ability to operate independently and follow general guidelines. Physical ability to use telephone, computer hardware/software including keyboard, type, sit and stand for extended periods of time, and occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a focus on Visual Merchandising OR equivalent. One to two years experience in the Merchandising field in the retail apparel industry preferred.
