Responsiblities:
Assists with routine equipment installation, trial runs and service activity runs to ensure that it meets specifications. Provides assistance with training customers to maintain and adjust routine equipment. Performs routine maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc. and completes required service or systems paperwork. Assists with responding to routine service or systems calls.
Technician will be repairing gear boxes for wind turbines in the in the field which will require 80% travel both domestic and international. Technician will troubleshoot problems and perform necessary repairs. This will involve climbing 300ft wind turbines to repair the gear boxes located in the turbines. 8 weeks of training will be provided at the US office in Elgin, Il.
Requirements:
2 + years of experience with repairing power transmission equipment (combustion engines, gear boxes, heavy industrial equipment, repairs of large automotive equipment trucks, cranes, tanks, or similar)
Must be able to work outside, exposed to the different weather conditions and be able to work at heights of 300+ ft.
Must be able to travel both domestic and international
Must be willing to travel up to 80%
Able to work independently and within a tight time frame
Highly adaptable to different work environments
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Valid drivers license
