Job Title: Field Service/Reliability Tech Location: Houston, TX 77001 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Other Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Address: Houston, TX 77001 Reference Code: 11642BR Description:SummaryPerforms reliability centered maintenance activities concerned with centrifugal compression equipment, including investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with compression equipment including controls, exchangers, valves and pumps, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Candidate must be able to perform all services related to inspections, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, data collection, start-up and commissioning of assigned products for Company's OEM products as well as non-OEM (competitors) products and servicesCandidate is required to submit detailed and accurate maintenance, repair, and testing documentation for equipment history files and customer billing. Candidate must be qualified to use a variety of test and measurement equipment to measure, align, install, and calibrate system components. Must have a proficient knowledge level to correctly discover, diagnose, and eliminate equipment maintenance or operational problems. Able to test, check, repair and rebuild compressors and auxiliary equipment in Compression Systems standard hours. Must be able to communicate with customers in a diplomatic, professional, and workmanlike manner; demonstrate a high level of leadership skills; possess good written and oral communication skills. It is necessary that candidate safely work alone without supervision and possess the ability to periodically lead a field crew. The position requires limited periods of travel away from home up to 10% of the time for training, meetings, customer support, and other purposes. Candidate is assigned and operates a company vehicle; therefore must have and maintain a good driving record. Candidate will be required to be available and responsive after hours for emergency call-out with a guaranteed response time limit; therefore is required to carry a communications device to support off hour or off site communication with the customer.Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications:Qualifications:Must be able to work Monday thru Thursday, 10 hour days. Will be on call remainder of week. Company car provided. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of maintenance practices and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Individual must become proficient in data entry and reporting using Camerons MMS maintenance management software and/or customers software. Candidate must have safe work habits with a good safety record and comply with all Cameron and customer safety policies and procedures.Must be a qualified technician furnishing a complete set of hand tools, who must possess advanced knowledge of various company manufactured (Joy, Cooper-Turbocompressor, or Cameron) and competitive (Clark, Elliott, Ingersoll, or others) centrifugal compression equipment. Works alone and unsupervised in the field to perform preventive maintenance inspections and collect pertinent diagnostic measurements in a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) environment. Be qualified to inspect, diagnose, repair, and install compressors in industrial, process, and production applications.
